Now the piston attached to the engine

The piston looks clean and reusable after a clean.  I think that the rings will need replacing.  Its a domed piston, if that makes a difference.

In the first picture is the top of the domed piston, which though covered in carbon looks alright.  The second, third and fourth pictures show around the sides of piston which look to me to be quite clean.

I've no idea of the crank condition nor big or little ends but there is a a logic to just replacing them all when rebuilding the engine.  Once I take apart the bits I'll replace.  The rings will need replacing without discussion.

The width of the piston is circa 57mm wide and between 65.25mm and 65.5mm to the edge of the piston and 69.25mm to the dome.
